Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use nit-med.com, in Arabic and English, on any device. Last reviewed 16 October 2026.
Our commitment
NIT aims for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the international standard for accessible websites.
Current status
We believe the website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA: most content meets the standard, with the known limitations listed below. We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit. [INDEPENDENT AUDIT — PLANNED BEFORE LAUNCH]
What we have done
- Every page is available in Arabic (right to left) and English (left to right), with the correct language set for screen readers.
- A “skip to content” link, a logical heading structure, and one main heading per page.
- Every image has a text alternative, or is marked as decorative.
- Every form field has a visible label. Errors are explained in text, next to the field, and are not shown by colour alone.
- Links, buttons and form fields are built to be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Text colours have been checked for sufficient contrast.
- Pages work at phone, tablet and desktop widths without sideways scrolling, and text uses sizes that can be enlarged with browser zoom.
- Animations are reduced or turned off when your device’s “reduce motion” setting is on.
- Buttons and links are large enough to tap easily.
Known limitations
- The animated app preview on the GlucoState® page is an illustration. Its contents are hidden from screen readers and described in the text beside it.
- Some downloadable documents (PDF) are not yet available. When published, they may not be fully accessible at first; ask us for an accessible version.
- Some interactive charts are described in text but are not available as data tables.
How we tested
We checked every page in both languages with automated tests in a current Chromium-based browser: page structure and headings, text alternatives, labels on buttons, links and form fields, minimum text size, and layout at 375, 768 and 1440 pixels wide. Manual testing with a keyboard and with screen readers (VoiceOver and TalkBack) is planned before launch. [TO COMPLETE]
